Biography:
Cornelia Van De Ven was a Detroit born artist who studied Watercolor and Fashion Illustration at Cass Tech then Life under Palazzola and Sculpture under Walter Meinder. She went on to study Fashion at Arts & Crafts and Oils under William House for two years. In 1961 she won two prizes in Sculpture at Cobo Hall, and her work was featured in a Michigan Artists showing in 1963. Known for her remarkable clarity, her work is defined by her attention to minute details and items.
